WHO NEEDS OUR HELP?

Losses due to indirect or unknown sales and marketing factors are staggeringly large for most local and international New Zealand businesses-all caused by out-dated data they have obtained or purchased, untrustworthy channel relationships, and even staff obligations.

Every day, companies miss out on their true market potential because of an ever-growing economy, changing customer demographics, and a lack of visibility or perception about their products.

Many companies in New Zealand have formed relationships with distributors, sales and merchandising

agencies, and wholesale brokers. We've found that most of these relationships are costly, high-risk, and often do not provide visibility into the actual conversations being had with their retailers. Sure, a store in Wellington might carry a few of your product lines, but why don't they carry your ENTIRE portfolio of products?

Unfortunately, sometimes your distributor or wholesaler simply isn't doing their job even through you have a strong relationship. New Zealand businesses need a better way of obtaining current information on their products to closely watch and understand their strategic relationships, maximise sales revenue, and increase market share.

DATA FROM CONVENIENCE AND PETROL STATIONS, BAKERIES, DARIES, SUPERETTES, FOUR SQUARE, SUPERMARKETS, ROUTE TRADE AND MORE.

Our data is collected nationally throughout New Zealand. We visit more than 3,000 locations yearly and growing fast. Based on our current client portfolio, we collect data from business channels such as: supermarkets, superettes, dairies, travel retail, bakeries, takeaways, lunch bars, fruit and vegetable retailers, pharmacies, pet specialty, prestige, mass merchandising, convenience and petrol stations, beverage, Four Square, Farm Source, and even Schools. If you have a new channel you would like us to visit, we're happy to work with you to outline a plan of attack.

UNDERSTANDING AND IDENTIFYING THE RIGHT INFORMATION TO COLLECT ABOUT YOUR PRODUCTS AND THEIR PRESENCE.

In a three-part approach, we will first work together to figure out what data points are most valuable to your business (specifically relation to return on investment), then secondly The Data Factory will collect your data, and lastly verify and send you the data. You can also obtain access to Market Insights, to monitor and view your data live. Overall, we collect data sets such as: SKUs, pricing, stock counts, use by dates, geolocation, shelf space, serial numbers, bar codes.

PICUTRES ARE REALLY WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS – WHAT DO YOUR PRODUCTS LOOK LIKE ON SHELF?

Quantitative and qualitative data is beneficial in any sense, but in our business, pictures are really worth a thousand words. We go the extra mile with data collection to obtain photographs of products on shelf, marketing materials, backroom stock, product labelling, damaged goods, and even the exterior of the location. Essentially, we will give you photographic evidence to make logistics decision and put pressure on the right people without being double-guessed.

REMEMBER, YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY CLIENT. DON'T BELIEVE IT, LOOK AT YOUR SALES REVENUE BY PRODUCT.

How many product lines do you think your distributor handles on a daily basis and how many different brands does that translate to? Remember, you're not the only client they have…so are you actually getting the attention you deserve? Most companies see a lack in sales representation simply because the distributor or wholesaler has spread their portfolio of clients over a small number of staff members throughout New Zealand, leaving you with little in-store sales time. Overall, this may show negatively in your sales reports because some retail channels might stock some, few, or none of your product lines. In order physically see this negative impact, you need to visit all your retail channels and individually check which products are stocked. Data Factory will collect data on your products to inform you of this type of information, and prove to you that your channel relationships may potentially be lacking.
